NSDC's Governing Council
According to the law establishing the Council, membership of the Governing Council should comprise the following:
- Chairman
- 2 Representatives of Sugar Producers
- 1 Representative of the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Sectoral Group of the Manufacturers’ Association of Nigeria
- 1 Representative of the Board of Customs and Excise
- 1 Representative of the Sugarcane Out grower Schemes
- 1 Representative of Sugar Importers
- 1 Representative of the Federal Ministry of Industry
- 1 Representative of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture
- 1 Representative of the Federal Ministry of Finance
- The Executive Secretary of the Council
